How come The Pop Top 40 Charts Are All So Different?!
Question: How come The Pop Top 40 Charts Are All So Different!?
I like to burn CDs based upon what's the top 40 for hit radio at the moment!. However, all the top 40 charts are so different! Every chart I visit has a different hit top 40:

hmm,,,it's really hard to tell! They may be doing different kinds of music research!.!.!.some may be going with a 'national' survey, some a more regional, and some may just be 'winging it' with some research and some personal choice!!. You never know!. I will say that Billboard(traditionally)has always marched to a slightly different drummer!.!.and they'll hang on a song much longer than anyplace else!.!.!.Radio and Records for instance,marches strictly to local stations that do meticulous research for the most part, then they compile that into a overview of how the charts compare nationally by market size!. When I left radio years ago, R&R was the basic Bible for playlists!.!.!.Not sure with Dees, but he may just be using the research at the stations he's syndicated on, which would be a bit more narrowcasted to the teen demographic!.!.!.!.Billboard seemed to be a bit more liberal in playing songs that may not necessarily be on other charts-that was sometimes refreshing!.!.but don't know how they do now!.!.!.!.!.well, hope I passed along some insight that could help you!. The top 40 is based off of asking what peoples favorite songs are, or tracking requests!. Not everyone listens to every station, thus the results are different!. At least, that's what I think!
So, just pick one that has more songs that you like; that's what I personally would do!. There is no right or wrong- it's a preference thing!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
