How do I boost the frequency on my radio?!

Question: How do I boost the frequency on my radio!?
My radio at work gets nothing but static!. My desk is on one floor below ground level!. I have one of those radios that has an wire for an antenna instead of the usual metal antenna!. So all I get is static for the most part!. I hear more static then the songs on the radio!. What can I do to reduce the static so I can listen to my radio station!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

I'm assuming your listening to FM!? If so, there's not much you can do unless you can attach a long piece of wire to the existing antenna and somehow run it up the wall, into the acoustical ceiling tile and then somewhere near a window on the first floor!. But that's probably not practical!.

Can you receive a stream through your computer!?

If you are interested in AM, no guarantees, but go to:
www!.selectatenna!.com
and see if one of their products will help!.
BTW, if you have reason to post this question elsewhere, you are not trying to boost the frequency - your are trying to boost the reception ;<)
Good luck!

basically you are looking for signal and the best way is a better antenna or a better radio as one floor below helps shield signals in a city (and even worse in the country) as well as most consumer radios make in the last 10-15 years I find sacrifice sensitivity for selectivity but are poor on both (basically pick up less stations so it can best catch the local stations instead of you having to fiddle with the dial between 3 stations to get the one you want like I do in the country)

Well because you're undergrand its hard for the antena to pick up signal!. It's just the wrong location!. My room is the same way!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
