Is there a radio station in your town/city that does this?!

Question: Is there a radio station in your town/city that does this!?
In our city, we have a station called 101!.5 WBNQ!. They play the same 3 songs at least once every half an hour!. It's pretty annoying!. They kill the songs to the point I can't even listen to them anymore!. && What sux is I liked the song when it first came out, but now I can't stand it!. Why can't they just play something different every once in a while!? >_<Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
oh gosh!. yess!. that happens ALL the TIME!. it's ruined a ton of good songs!. it's like " i like the song!. but must i hear it every 10 minutes!."Www@Enter-QA@Com

Because we got people who don't listen to the radio who keep calling and request it as well as the people at the station who decide how much it plays!.!.!.!.

But I agree on the frequency they play the top 5 songs occasionally on any top 40 station!.

For example, the most popular song last week on WBNQ played was Danity Kane Damaged which was played 86 times or an average of once every 2 hours over a week period!.

That's the problem with top 40 however, it tries to stay with the hits and will wear them out quick like this due to the main listeners not listening enough and growing tired of the song!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

As much as people complain about it, it is the approach to contemporary hits that works!. Even as the burn factor sets in, the station is placing those songs in the recurrent category to make room for new ones to play over and over!.

If this business model did not work, CHR stations would have dumped it years ago!. The playlists are decided upon by programmers that may not even be in the state!. The station programmer turns on RCS Selector in his desktop, hits "Run" and the next day's music playlist is assembled!.

The "requests" you hear are phone calls that have been recorded!. They could be 5 minutes, 5 hours, or 5 days old!. Lots of technology available to store audio at hand!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

They shouldn't be coming up every half hour, that would be a very poorly programmed radio station!. Has nothing to do with lazy Dj's as the old woman with no life just suggested!. That is on the program director so get a clue before you answer a question YOU know nothing about!. Go home and change your Depends!. Anyway, with top 40 radio stations that is going to happen but more like every few hours!. Those songs must be their "powers" if you go on billboard I'm sure you'll find those songs are in the top 10!. All the songs are on a rotating list, each in a specific category!. Power means it will get the most rotation!. Amazingly, even though that song is played over and over it seems like they're still the most requested!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

my fourth grade teacher always listened to the same radio station, and while they didn't play the songs once every half hour, this was just as annoying!. Every day, they would play the same songs as they had the day before, in the same order!. so at the same time every day, a song would come on and everyone in our class knew what the next song was going to be!. it was horrible!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes!.!.!. it is happeneing more and more everywhere, and it ruins the whole purpose of listening to begin with!. I am curious if you ever called the radio station and told them you are a fan of their station, but you are getting sick of their playlist!. get in touch with the program director or station manager!. Let them know in a polite, but firm way, that you will not support them and will find a new station and plan to be at their events held on location because they have a better play schedule!. Be as professional as you can and still be yourself!. If you have friends that feel the same way!.!.!. encourage them to do the same!. Be conscientious!.!.!. they may be rude to you, so be prepared!. They will feel embarrassed later if they are obnoxious!. But, if you get hot-headed or speak in a rude way, you will just shoot yourself in the foot!. Good luck to you!.!.!. happy listening !!! (Oh! Remember to say something nice to them first!.!.!. it goes a long way to soften 'em up!)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yes, in Delhi, India we also face the same problem in our FM stations!. They often repeat the songs till they lost the melody in it!.!.!.!.!. But wait !.!. if any good song is released they will change the sequences!.

In your case!.!.!.!. You can advise the radio station in your town to change the songs!. Do it repeatedly in the way they are doing to us!. Give SMS, call them etc!.!., tell ur friends to do so!.

On the lighter side give a break in listening the radio!.!.!.!.!.!. and start after few days to enjoy new songs (repeatedly)Www@Enter-QA@Com

Here's a little radio programmin lesson!. Most people listen for short periods of time several times a day!. When they tune in they want to hear a hit, thus!.!.!. they play the biggest hits over and again!.

Although it seems your station is going a bit overboard,
