Question: Why do all morning shows on Top 40 stations sound alike!?
They all seem to be called 'The Morning Zoo' and have 2 guys and a girl!. They all use the same gimicks and seem to have the same celebrity interviews!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

A lot of them actually use only a few mornign shows, such as Kidd Kraddick who's on in most small to medium markets as well as few few bigger but yeah to answer your question!.!.!. It's a formula that works, the same celebs are trying to promote themselves usually for the latest film and either call a lot of stations, the stations call them or they go to a sanctioned meeting say in L!.A!. where it's later taped for replay!.
But imitation may be the sincerest form of flattery but most air talent aren't good at coming up with promotions and gimmicks everyday all day to keep people interested so they steal ideas done in other markets that the listeners probably hadn't heard of and wham!.!. success in another marketWww@Enter-QA@Com

It's the usual format that everyone follows!. Those in charge (not the DJ's) stick to what they know!. Plus the advertisers are suckers and buy into what they believe people listen to!.
