Is the line in 'Rockstar' by Nickleback which says 'Everyone's g!

Question: ...to be played under UK broadcasting laws (on radio)?

Answers: ...to be played under UK broadcasting laws (on radio)?

Everytime ive heard it on radio 1 its been blocked out - until i was listening to the chart on sunday where it was played unedited

see here: http://chrismoyles.net/phpBB3/viewtopic....

on there aled from the chris moyles show says:

I can't speak for other stations, but that was the edit we were given by the record company.

They edited the track and called it the "Radio edit" so we played it.

Yeah, I've only ever heard the song on the radio & that line has never been faded out.

yeah? why not? Its not offensive is it?

Yes but they cut the words drug dealer out

I've heard it played on 2 local radio stations, 1 fades it out and the other doesn't.

They just blank out the "drug dealer" part

Nope, if you listen to theradio version it says 'Everyone's got dealer on speed dial' but if you buy the single then it does say the 'Everyone's got drugdealer on speed dial'

some stations will take out the word "DRUG/Drugdealer" depending on their target audience. I know that the big city network (Keys 103, TFM, Metro) do this however radio 1 dont - and most tv channels dont as radio broadcasting is much more censored then TV

why not?

yes otherwise they would not air it
