How can I make a homemade antenna for my radio?!
Question: The radio signal strength in the area where I live is very bad as the house is situated downhill. I hardly get any radio stations on my radio. Is there a way I can make and set up a homemade antenna/aerial with stuff available at home to get a clearer reception? Thanks in advance.

Jim's answer is good for AM, but for FM, make a staight wire about 3 feet long connected to the antenna or antenna jack on the radio. Better yet, use TV type twin lead, (or even Zip cord) run it out from the radio antenna connections to a point on a wall, split it and make a "T" of the two halves, each about 3 feet long and rotate it for best reception. attach it to the wall.
just regular copper or silver stranded wire. loop it around like a coke can and wind it really tight then let it uncoil.get it over a beam or as high as you can and you should notice signal clarity. cjhs
