RJ Stands for Radio Jockeying!
radio jockeys are basically those people who are very bright in their thoughts and alert too....
a radio jockey is a person who has the capability to communicate to a huge mass at a time and at the same time give an individual a feel that the RJ is directly communicating to him i.e giving a personal touch.
besides talking and anchoring, the responsibilities of the radio jockey is to operate the machines given to him in the studio like the console, the cd player, telephone, computer etc., altogether without even making the audience realize this.
the RJ also has to keep his eyes and ears open so as to know the things goin around him
RJ also have scripts with them just like our actors do for their films or the anchors for their shows! so u should also have the capacity to read the script on the show without fumbling!
also you should know how to handle the pressure of playing songs, reading the scripts, taking phone calls, answering the call questions and also interviewing the guests on a particular show without hurting the sentiments of your guests and that of the audience........

I'VE SAID all this as i was into the SAME PROFESSION a few months back!
its not at all an easy and glamourous job as it sounds!!!!!!!!!!!
any ways if interested, be alert, jump into it, coz there are lots of opportunities in this industry!! there are many institutes offering this course and workshops!
look out n be alert that u dont dupe ur money into any fake institute!!

as there are VJs for TVs there are RJs for radio FM or radio programmes who act as an anchor they r knowns as Radio Jockey

it comes under anchoring but in radio.
rj is the person who speaks on the radio.like who makes the main announcements and also who is the main anchor on the radio
They are like Radio Station anchors.
