Does anyone out there listen to public radio?!

Question: I listen to MPR everyday on my way to and from work. I learn a lot listening to it.
I love Car Talk. Do you?? Ever talked to Click and Clack?

Many more people than you might suspect listen to NPR. Commercial stations don't want you to know how many people listen so they are rarely listed in the "ratings." The excuse for this is they are non-commercial and don't subscribe to the rating services.

You are not alone.

NPR is an excellent companion while on the road. I like Talk of the Nation, Fresh Air and This American Life. great programs. To be honest, Click and Clack are too showbiz ad not down to the nitty gritty of automotive upkeep and repair. But that is my humble opinion. They must be doing something right. I believe they are the longest running program on NPR.

I used to drive a delivery truck and learned not to listen to music as it tended to be a distraction. The sports channels were just painful to listen to. NPR, especially Diane Rheem (sp), was an insult to my intelligence. I loved the classical stuff but the ultra-liberal, anti-America stuff was too much. Fortunately I had some college stations for parts of my trip.

i like npr like listen on road trips
