MORE METAL!!!

commercial interruptions

I dont know. I wouldnt.

by making you the presenter on that radio post>>>

they play the same songs all the time... they need more variety and no commercials

i would get rid of talk radio d'bags like ManCow. Actually i wouldn't do that, people like mancow. But my radio station would have little if any talking. Every song would be introduced at the beginning and end so people can find out who sings it.

I'd make a station that played the music I wanted to hear when I wanted to hear it just by telling it through a microphone. Serious doesn't suck tho they have soooo many stations.

we all know why and id give jonny Mars his job back,,,, wxrt chicago

Stop hiring outside consulting firms to decide what should be played and how often. Give air personalities, what few live ones are left, the freedom to truly play what they and the listeners want, not what the computer software is programmed to play.

Whatever type of music I was playing I would play a great variety of things that are and are not popular in whatever genre of music I would supposed to be playing. Radio sucks because the people that work in radio listen to suits when suits don't know what people want to hear they are just interested in the bottom dollar and money from advertising. I love sirius because I don't have to hear all those commercials anymore. I'd like to be in radio since I have a degree that says I could do it but terrestrial radio in a small town like I live in its who you know and what you do to keep them happy I would like to play what I know people wanted to hear and I would actually play requests I once called a country station around here requested a song and they refused to play it they lost a listener that day I mean they play the same songs ten times a day they could have curbed the playing of it once that day to play a good song noone had heard.

Radio stinks because it no longer caters to the people anymore. Granted, radio IS a business but it always had that human element that kept you glued to a station, even if it was a song that you weren't into.

However, with corporations owning tons of stations in given markets and throughout the country, they all have adapted a "cookie cutter" philosophy on what they think work based on music "burn" lists and market research. In the process, the creativity is totally gone. They COULD try out different formats on the HD-2 side of things just to see if that can get people to tune in, but even that sounds like everything else that is on radio.

Besides, with iPods and satellite radio, terrestrial radio has very little to NO chance of competing with individualized playlists (e.g...what WE want) and specialized programming via satellite radio.
