Is sirius or xm satelite radio better?!

Question: Both are good, but I think XM is a little better. It depends on what you want though. If you want just music, I think XM is the better service because it has a broader selection. If you like dance music (trance, house) then Sirius is better. Sirius has alot of niche channels, so if your not an Elvis, Springsteen, Jummy Buffett, or Grateful Dead, that's four channels you won't be listening to right there. XM has several formats that Sirius doesn't though, including a channel that is all film scores, a showtoon channel, and a 40's channel.

Sirius also has more sports including the NFL and NBA, but alot of their sports are fluff sports, like Arena Football. XM has the NHL, baseball, and alot more college football and basketball than Sirius.

If you like talk, I'd say XM is much better overall. Sirius does have Howard, but once you've heard all Howard has to offer for the day, the resy of Sirius's talk is pretty bad, except for the Jay Thomas Show. Cosmo, Maxim, and Playboy radio are all unlistenable. XM has alot more talk and carries alot of shows that are on terrestrial that can't be heard in your market like Opie & Anthony, Lex & Terry, and many others.

Both are equal in terms of news. Both carry CNN, Headline News, Fox News, and BBC World Service. Sirius has NPR, while XM has its own public radio channel which I think is better than NPR. Sirius does have the World Radio Network, which carries newscasts from countries around the world. I listen to that alot.

Both can be heard online. XM has all its music channels on its online service and includes the Opie & Anthony and Oprah channels. Sirius carries almost its entire channel load on its online service, so Sirius is better as far as online content goes. XMs online has much better audio quality, unless you pay extra for the Sirius premium service.

Both charge $13 a month, and you have to buy a receiver. The receivers are very good quality, and come You can get them relatively cheap, like an XM Roady can be gotten for under $20. There is no contract, and you pay three months at a time, unless you want to pay each month individually.

Either way, you really can't go wrong, both are light years better than terrestrial.

Sirius, Howard Stern Rules!!!!!!!!!!!!11

I personally like Sirius - I am a big NASCAR fan. The NASCAR channel use to be on XM. Also we get baseball on XM. My boyfriend likes Sirius because of the Playboy Channel. It won't matter anyway real soon since they are merging together.
