Is Miley Cyrus to young for pop radio?!

Question: Miley Cyrus has just made the top 40 at pop radio with her hit, "See You Again." The lyrics seem a bit mature for a youngster of her age. I do enjoy the song, however. I can understand that she had to appeal to an older demographic. But that is pretty risky...especially with the whole Jamie Lynn Spears' pregnancy controversy in mind.

But, do you think these Disney acts like Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Tisdale, and Miley Cyrus should cross over from Radio Disney to the pop radio scene?

SHES A f**** **** I HATE HER I HATE HER!!!!!!!!! I AND I SHE HAS S0O0 MUCH POWER ON SMALLER KIDS!! she sould wait until shes older!!!!! miley cyrus ugh! shes gonnna be a britney!

Too lacking in talent maybe, but how old was michael jackson when he started? Everything turned out just fine for him.

no she's just terrible

miley cyrus can do anything she wants but sing.

No, I don't think she's too young. I jsut think she chose the wrong genre. She has a voce fit for pop-country(if that exists) or just country. Her voice is too deep and mellow for upbeat pop music of today's generation. But i have faith in her, she'll be a good role model.

Yes, I think she shoudl wiat a couple more years untill the show ends to get more attention in singing... Right now the only peopel listening are the litter kids.. But in my opioin sh eshoudl wiat untill she is 19 or so to start a more mature career in pop music. I heard her counrty song and i love it. I think she should go for country but stay away from adult pop for awhile more.

I think Disney is pushing these stars to have a snobber attidude. I think that Disney shoudl definalty step down a tab.

I think Disney is trying to Cross most of their Disney creations to pop music to create more revenue.

Most of the Disney music is just that, sold to the tween set who even though Mom and Dad have money, will forget about the artists soon enough... Well (Disney says) lets have them (the artists) evolve with the group and sell up to older people by introducing onto Pop radio talking about a little more mature material (The song quoted sounds more like a 15 year old in love then anything sinister or the Spears controversy)

But is she too young for pop radio? Dunno, basically she's been in the limelight since birth and this is just an extension of the life she knows (and there is only so much you can do with tween pop).... the rest are already adults (Tisdale is 22, Hudgens is 19) who are already outgrowing their audience every day and need to move up or be accused of being too old for tweendom.

Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it. Look at:

Brenda Lee;
The Osmonds;
Jackson Five;
Cowsills;
Shirley Temple;
Jackie Cooper;
Judy Garland. Dozens (maybe hundreds) of ohers.

Children are necessary to tell a story and they bring kids in with their parents to see movie or concert. And, though there are a few with problems (Brittney...) most child stars don't have that much to complain about once they become older. Ron Howard...

Yes Miley picked a very more mature genre than the Hannah Montana most seven year old kids know. I prefer this side of miley but i say she should stay in Disney for awhile (get a taste of the celebrity world) and become older and start a great music career of her own like Hilary duff pretty much did. I think Ashley and Vanessa are ready to break free from Disney.
