Who's the best singer of all time?!

For pure quality of voice (not necessarily the type
of music she sang) I have to vote for Yma Sumac.
She was born in Peru in 1922 and was referred
to as the Incan Princess. She had an amazing
4-1/2 octave vocal range. You can hear her in
one of her more famous songs at link below.

Frank Sinatra
Could have been---Whitney Houston.
johnny cash, elvis presley, i don't like him much but alot of people like barry manilow, josh groban, charlotte church, and whitney houston
There are so many categories: males, females, contemporary, classical...
Just for quality, probably Placido Domingo (male) and Maria Callas (female).
Didn't say they were my favorites, just an objective viewpoint. And keep in mind, we have no idea what any singer actually sounded like prior to 1920 or so.
-a guy named duh
Barbra Streisand comes to mind.
Celine Dion?
I always appreciated Roger Daltrey back in the day though !
