How can I find a good station for my XM FM Transmitter?!

Question: I got XM satellite radio for Christmas yesterday. I don't want to get it professionally installed, and I don't have a tape deck, so my only other option is to use the FM Transmitter. My husband installed/hid all the antenna wires properly (we have it already in his car, so he knows what he's doing). The problem is that I can't find a good radio station to tune my stereo to. I went up the stations point by point, and none came in clearly. I also went to the website and entered my zip code to get the recommended stations to use, and none of them work. I only heard the XM on one station that I checked but it was really staticky, and when I put the XM down, it cut out. I called the XM tech support and she said "you're going to have to get it professionally installed". I already use an FM transmitter for my iPod, so I know it's not my car. Also, it's not my area, bc my husband doesn't have this problem. Has anyone else had this problem? Can you anyone offer any suggestions? Thanks.

The website the other guy gave is a good one however it was a lot better when the original people (Recnet) had it on their website (they sold the licensing rights for the program to Sirius)

Another one to verify the Sirius findings is:
http://www.radio-locator.com/cgi-bin/vac...

Which predicted a little better I find than the sirius locator when I check my location, your's may be different

If you're using the wireless transmitter, you're not going to get the best reception. You can buy a wired transmitter that hooks into the back of your car stereo in your antenna jack. (you will have to remove your unit from the dash to do this). Unless you have an auxillary output, thats probably your only option.

http://fmchannel.sirius.com/

Even though its a sirius site it wont make a difference if you have sirius or xm!
Good luck
