Does HD radio get good reception from your home?!

Question: with a home HD reciever

Answers: with a home HD reciever

The HD radio signal is digital so you only need a little bit of signal to get the stations, but the power is generally lower than a traditional radio signal.

So you will still need an antenna but I have been able to pick up HD signals better than analog with my HD receiver.

The short and direct answer to your question is: Yes, and No.

But to explain a little -- Yes for those stations that are more or less nearby, especially if not living in a building with a lot of steel in it.

No for stations too far away, and generally No in my basement.

Reception can be greatly improved by using an antenna, either the plain old T-type antenna, rabbit ears, or something fancier.

For a bit more information, see the source listed below, or google around.

I got a good signal just from my local stations, but my Bose system sounds better and its not HD!!
