I am thinking about getting satellite radio. Can anyone share their experience?!

Question: I got Sirius radio almost 2 years ago, and I haven't listened to regular radio since. I love it! No commercials, specialized stations, you can truly listen to any type of music, talk, or entertainment programming. Get it, you will be glad you did!

One of the best resources we have at YA are the answers of others in the past (including this one a few hours ago). If I were you, I'd go to that box near the top of the page (Search for questions) and plug in either "XM," "Sirius" or just "satellite radio" (without the quotes). You will get questions, answers and opinions from a whole bunch of folks like me - and I love my XM... Sirius ain't bad either... and yes, you're missing quite a bit - but you're saving $13/month plus the cost of the receiver ;<)

I get to listen to Sirius occasionally and while it does have some stations I like.. it's not worth the $13 or so /month.. actually neither one are. I figure that they would have a lot more variety than they do.... But I'm in a area where I get radio from 4 arbitron rated areas and it hasn't tempted me yet... If I lived in the boondocks where my choices were less, I'd probably do it.

Wanna taste of some of the XM channels for free (to road test longer than 7 days)?

Actually, I waiting to see what comes out of the promises of a company called Slacker.com.... They promise a custom tailored radio station sent to your radio by satellite.

I love my INNO (XM radio), but I'm a baseball nut. I definitely get my $13 worth each month. I also enjoy the other music - especially on long drives. If you go with either service seriously consider the portable options (Pioneer INNO with XM or Stilleto with Serius radio) The portable option is just great.
