I have a friend who is a DJ at a major station and I was hanging out with him at the station the other night and he introduced me as a "friend of show".

Hosts always introduce guests as f'riends of the show because you thats just what you are. It's a standard thing to be called. Its not a bad thing. It's just what guests are called
