I want to purchase a radio that will pick up WGN-Chicago(at night) from about 40!
Question: I'm on the East Coast and I'm able to pick up WGN-AM most nights...and I use a decade-and-a-half-old Yorx boombox!
Seriously...you don't really need a special radio to tune in to WGN-AM. Just about all AM radios can recieve 50,000-watt radio stations at night. I can also get a few Toronto stations on my old boombox.
You can also try buying a pair of rabbit ears (that's right-an old-fashioned set-top TV antenna) and wiring it to your radio reciever.
