I DID - I HAD A BOOM BOX SO BIG IT WAS REALLY DIFFICULT TO CARRY AROUND. IT TOOK TWELVE D-BATTERIES WHICH NEEDED TO BE REPLACED ABOUT EVERY 2 OR 3 DAYS.
I had a small Casio... but I was just a little thing as a teen, couldnt handle much on the shoulder. Great sound tho so my cred was aight

It's a Conion and with batteries, weighed 28 pounds when walking around with it! That box pumped out LOUD. The one feature that this radio had was an "alarm" whereas if you set it up and someone was to lift it off of you, an alarm would go off.
The cassette deck is shot but the radio and back wirings still work. I've had that radio for 23 years! Never EVER gonna part with it :)
