Go to this site... enter your postcode in the check coverage section...see what stations are available ( i can not get my local station on DAB where i live so i haven't bought one)

Could be that you local one hasn't gone DAB yet.
Are you sure your local station broadcasts digitally? Does it do an internet service?
There is probably not a local/regional DAB multiplex in your area. The best way to check is to look for your local BBC radio station, for example 'BBC SHEF/BBC Radio Sheffield, in the list of available stations.
If you cannot find it, either your are out of the signal range or there is not a local DAB service.
