Answers: Yes. Radio Caroline DJ and the first DJ on Radio 1 40 years ago this Sunday.

Not quite old enough but the first record played on Radio 1 was The Move, Flowers in the Rain :P He's not dead is he?

He clearly isnt dead as I heard him this afternoon on Radio 2
and Steve Wright even used Arnold's bark too Yes.He was a great Disc Jokey. Yes he was on Radio Caroline as a D.J.Then he moved to the BBC.Radio station.He was also on T.V. and Top of The Pops.He married Tessa Wyatt.They had a son together. Wasn't he that guy John Peel made fun of...?

Showing my age now... course i do, he was corny enough to make me smile he could say anything and get away with it because he always had a smile on his face Yeah, I met him years ago at an advance screening of Starfighter. Yes and his wife was a nasty pasty to say the least....... LOL, is he dead then?????????

I remember him playing Time Is Tight by Booker T and the MG's, and he had this taped noise of a dog barking whom he refers to as Arnold arnold always barked at 8.30am and that was my queue to leave home for school in order to catch the bus.he was a good dj and always made me smile. yes the Tony Blackburn show
on the radio he has a very different voice i thought.

regards x Kitti x Tony Blackburn is still going strong he still does the early morning show on a east midland radio station broadcasting from NOTTINGHAM available on digital radio the station is called CLASSIC GOLD I surely do he was one of the DJ`s on Radio Caroline and the 1st on Radio 1 he is not dead. He appeared live this morning on The Matthew Wright show, he has just had his book published so look out for it. I liked the soul shows he did on Radio London. my mate tony always sea sick on radio Caroline.still he was a good jock and first on radio 1.
