Reception problem?!

Reception problem?

I just bought a portable am/fm/sw radio and it was getting poor reception when I bought the dang thing but know I can't get anything. I bought the thing to get a world perspective using the short wave radio. {I don't really like to read the news}. also some European tchno and jpop would be nice. { I looking at this problem and thinking maybe I shouldn't try for world t.v.}

basically I tried the new radio I bought in town and got a few stations I would like to keep listening to but I live in a mountainous Regen were I can't get a good signal. is there any way to get world radio/TV signals to be enhanced without having to plug anything in to a radio. my radio has it's own attena and has now extra plug in for another one.

help please.

There is an item called "Select-a-tenna" It is a little antenna that you place next to your radio. You don't even have to hook it up to the radio. It can pull in distant stations pretty clearly.

Also you may want to look at a C. Crane catalog. They carry all kinds of antennas, even for Short Wave reception. the website is www.ccrane.com Perhaps they have what you are looking for.
