any legal issues to consider since i wont be playing music?

Well you will have to go through the FCC and a few other people i believe. I don't know much about that. However, I'm the owner of Ultiamte radio toolbar, if you get your sports show on Windows media player, I will be more then happy to add your show as a channel on my radio player.
