How do I get my own radio talk show?
I'm really witty and personable. I think I'd be great at being a radio talk show host. How do I get started? Do you know of anyone looking for a radio talk show host? Are there websites to check out?
Answers:
If you have no experience, you won't get anything.
You have to understand that this is a business 1st. There are millions of dollars being thrown around and a big emphasis on ratings and revenue.
2nd, your only shot to do anything is to get in as an intern somewhere and work your way up.
Program Directors won't hire someone who has not proven them-self on air...You might want to think about starting at a music station in a small market (better chance to work your way to the studio, faster).
It will take you years of dedication and hard work.
