Sirius radio question?!

Question:

Sirius radio question?

I recently bought Sirius satilite radio again. I had it a few years ago and loved it but now I can not get reception at all. I bought a SL10 portable receiver so I can record and take my programming with me. I bought home kit and I have an antenna in the car also. At home I am lucky to get 1 bar of signal and that may last for a hour at most a day. It does not matter where I move the antenna. In the car driving various places I get a low signal like 1 too 2 bars and it cuts in and out. My question now, Has anyone experienced bad reception by using this hand held portable SL10 receiver ?? I'm trying to figure out if it is my receiver because I know other people with car receivers that don't have any problems.

Answers:

I am guessing your SL10 unit has a bad antenna connection. If you have different antennae at home and in the car, it is unlikely that they are both bad. Perhaps the weak signal that it is picking up is from the antenna that is built-in to the handheld stiletto. If you just bought it (and from a reputable seller), it should still be under warranty. You could try to return it and see if a new unit solves the problem. Good luck.
