What would you expect to be used during a construction of a radio station?!

Question:

What would you expect to be used during a construction of a radio station?

Answers:

That all depends on how you define "radio station"... for a BROADCAST radio station (GOD... but I hate the way AmeriKans use half words) you would need the same audio equipment for both AM and FM... mixing console, processing equipment, tape decks etc. Of course you would need a Transmitter and an antenna of some kind... either a tower alone (AM) or a tower with the antenna at the top (FM).

Don't forget the license... THAT can easily cost more than the physical structure. AND, the Engineering to build the station can be quite expensive (consulting broadcast engineers get about $300 to $500 a DAY)

Even a small local FM low power station can cost $100,000 or more by the time you get it on the air..
