Sirius cancelled my free service how do I get it back??!

Question:

Sirius cancelled my free service how do I get it back??

I won a radio and one year free service last september. I didn't activate it unril like October 2006. At the time I had a paper with some number and gave it to get the year free. I have been using it since then everyday and the other day I get into my car and can't get a signal. I called Sirius customer service and they guy told me that someone cancelled my free service because they didn't know why I was getting it free. I told them why and who I won the radio and service from and they told me to re-produce the orginal sheet of paper saying I was a winner from sept 2006.

Which of course I don't have, who keeps something like day. After everything was working I threw it out. So am I screwed or anyone else have an idea of how I get it back? This is all legit and I get screwed!!

Answers:

I would email customer service and request the reinstate your service with additional time to make up for the service disruption. Simply state that once the service had been activated you did not retain the original paperwork.

You could try the place you won it from and see if they have some paperwork.

Unless it was a promotion by the radio station itself , someone would have paid for the year.
