93.1 fox, why did they do that?!

Question:

93.1 fox, why did they do that?

any one in louisville know why 100.5 changed into louie, and 93.1 changed into the fox? i hate that they did that and want to know why! i listen to "the fox" but ever since they did that its been hard to pick up frequency! how come?

Answers:

Radio stations change formats and brands to reach new listeners and advertisers. They usually do this without any advance public announcement. It does upset a lot of the listeners that tuned in beforehand, but they can change back to the previous format if they determine the new one is unsuccessful, or they could apply for a new station.
