Question:

Why is Channel 6 WPVI TV in Phila. only TV station to broadcast its signal on the FM Radio Band?

Answers:

Actually it doesn't. All USA TV stations on Channel 6 must transmit by FCC rules on an audio frequency of 87.75 mHz which is just below where the FM broadcast band starts at 88 mHz.

Most all FM radio receivers will tune-in this slightly "out of band" signal.

Channel 6 is the only TV channel that comes anywhere close to the FM radio band which is 88 to 108 mHz.
