Why do commercial radio stations put out podcasts?!
Question:
Why do commercial radio stations put out podcasts?
One of my favorite talk radio stations has commercial free podcasts. Why do they do this?
Instead of listening to the station live and having to hear the commercials, I download the podcasts and listen to the commercial free rebroadcast.
What is the logic behind offering commercial free rebroadcasts of material that was on the air earlier that day?
Answers:
It may spur people to tune in or - at the very least - it helps promote the show.
