POLL: What are some uplifting things I could do for my husband?!

Question: POLL: What are some uplifting things I could do for my husband!?
To make a long story short: My mom is taking my husband and I to court for visitation rights to our children!. My mom's lawyer is insanely bitchy and like to bash my husband in court!. Both his parents passed away when he was younger and the lawyer has a habit of saying since he can't "provide" grandparents for our children then my mom should be allowed to see them!. Like it's his fault his parents died!. It's annoying as **** and whenever we leave he's always really quiet and keeps to himself for a few days!.

So, any suggestions on how I could lift his spirits a bit!? Aside from ripping the lawyers teeth out of her head!? =]

+also, I'm posting this here since when I posted it in marriage earlier today I got "legal" advice!. While suggestions are helpful, I don't need any court advice - just suggestions of my husband!. THANKS!+

First, I'm sorry to hear of your dilemma!. My mom was an unmedicated thus abusive schizophrenic and lost custody of me when I was 16!. Hopefully you're doing things for yourself as well to keep your spirits up!.

It is most important to remind him, or even make him realize in the first place, that grandparents and all other family is optional, but his involvement is what matters!. Show him how important his role is in his childrens' lives and how important he is to them!.

Some things you can "do"!.!.!. family day at the park or beach, breakfast in bed w/the kids or a special dessert made by the kids, have the kids make him crafts and put them on the wall on his side of the bed or in his office, record a video with you and the kids talking about your fave things about him, send him a text saying "have a great day" attached to a pic of you all making silly faces or set up the camera with all of you together being silly!.!.!.

Another thing!.!.!. his parents may have passed on, but they don't have to be tucked away!. Honor them in a special place in your home or make time when he can tell stories/memories of them!. They are still the kids' grandparents and a part of their family, even if they aren't physically present!. It's just the same you'd do if the grandparents lived on the other side of the country, instead of on another plane!.

Hope this helps!.!.!. Good luck! Www@Enter-QA@Com

Yeah!.!.!.!.!.Tell you hubby to stand his ground!.

Unless your mother can prove that BOTH of you are bad parents, then she has absolutely no right to do a damn thing!.

She has no legal standing here, so your hubby should feel uplifted that after all the wailing and gnashing of teeth going on in court, he can STILL tell the lady to EFF OFF!.!.

How DARE she interfere in your marriage!!?!!?!!? These are YOUR children, and if you dont stand up for them now, when ARE you!?!?!?!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

That is wrong on so many levels!.!.!.

Perhaps, if you can a small break!. Everyone go on a mini vacation!. Even if you just spend the night someplace else in your town!.!.!.just get away!. Go someplace you feel safe, where no one can get to you!.
I had a hellish legal battle a few years back and that was what truly saved me!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

gonna sound really old fashioned, but a good meal in front of the TV means alot to me!. A kind shoulder, just listening and not talking, really helps alot too!. A small present, a card, just ANYTHING to show him you are thinking of him!. Imagine what you would want, then do it!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well from talking to you in emails I know something I would like and that would be not 1 not 2 but 3 girls!. Who am I kidding 2 girls would cheer me up just fine!. Maybe take him to a strip club those always make me feel better!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
