It doesn't make you an irresponsible pet owner, provided that either you keep your dog away from situations where it might become pregnant or impregnate another dog, or if you do plan on breeding it, you've got all the right papers and you know you can find buyers for the puppies, etc, etc!.
But, if you're going to leave your dog outdoors, out of your sight for more than a few minutes at a time, the responsible thing to do would be spay or neuter it, because your dog could escape, or someone else's dog could get into the yard/run where you're keeping your dog!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I don't think you are irresponsible unless you let your dog run around impregnating or getting pregnant!.
I do urge you to go to a shelter and see just how many dogs are there due to not neutering/spaying animals!. Better yet, get some figures and information from the Humane Society as to how many animals there are nationwide and how many are euthanized due to not finding a home!. The amount would shock and dismay you!.

The lack of spaying/neutering does not make someone an irresponsible pet owner!.
However if you plant o let your animal run around the neighborhood, then it becomes irresponsible because you are helping the over population of pets in the world!.

I don't think it makes you irresponsible!. You just need to be extra careful that your dog doesn't get out of the yard and get pregnant (or get another dog pregnant)!. it probably isn't a good idea to take him/her to the dog park either just in case there are other dogs who are not spayed/neutered!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well if you plan on breedding them!.!.that's fine!. But getting them fixed is better for them all around!. Their temperment mellows, they won't stray too far from home and are less likely to get hurt or sick AND no unwanted litters!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
