Empirically, ALWAYS!. Its not like we have an atomic "speed clock" broadcasting out a signal that corresponds and corrects each and every speedometer AND radar/laser gun in perfect synchronicity either!.
Realistically, I watch my speedometer quite big brother brazenly as I fear the economic, financial, and parenting time losses incurred by exceeding the posted speed limit!. A day in court= time lost on the job, insurance rate hikes, money spent on gas I didn't need to spend, and lending my face to the familiarity of law enforcement personnel!. I do not want my face to be associated with courtroom presence or "appearances"!.
Philosophically, I grudgingly obey and have taken the extra steps for discipline that blends me in with the "harmless" and inconsequential low speed drivers!. When I do speed intentionally (which is rare) it is from pressure from others who have a vested interest in me that outweighs the risk of the nasty consequences stated above!. I ask, "Do you want me behind the wheel!?" and they usually say NO!. I hate giving law enforcement an opportunity for anything that involves their subconscious scrutiny of me, mainly because they have weapons and are known to be aggressive and emotionally unstable (or completely non emotional!.!.!. take your pick)!.
