Answers:
Nope!. If they were, that would imply that they were willing to admit that their Point of View was wrong, and religions can't have that!. I'm serious, I've even encountered a version of this attitude--an unwillingness to discuss or talk about the *reasoning* behind things--in a Unitarian Universalist Church, that is supposed to be nothing *but* tolerance!.
It's all just Raw Blind Lemmingism, really!. People aspiring to be mighty herd animals because *they act like wee scaredy rodents*!. Never mind that humans are supposed to be *better than both of these things*, rodents and sheep!.
This just goes back to the basic thing about "Organized!.!.!." anything!. Individual humans are *smart*!.!.!.!.People in groups, however, are *Stupid*!. They are only as bright as their *dumbest* member, the chain is only as strong as the weakest link!.
And man do the social and psychological consequences of this suck!. People shouldn't have to swallow a Party Line and be a Lemming *just to have Friends and Fit IN Somewhere*, you know!? Isolation kills, but nooo, folks can't be bothered to care if you don't have your hair cut short enough, wear your pants down low enough, or *love Bingo*!.!.!.gah!.!.!. The people in my building make me crazy sometimes!.

Yes but secretly, they'll never admit it unless you prove it!. But they'll bash the hell out of someone who proves to highly esteem it and display real intelligence and doesn't agree with every little thing they teach!.
