Question: Do you think college is a waste of money!?
Please tell why!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Answers:
Yes and No!.

Yes, because the smartest people out there dont have degrees and are somewhere doing their own thing!.

No, because the more you know, the more you know!. Sounds cliche but its true!.!.

My opinion is!.!.

Do people go to school because they want to, or because everybody in society does it!? Monkey see monkey do!.!.

I'm in and out of community college and I can say that I'm one smart person, but its not shown in grade point average and testing ability!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I have two college degrees and don't use either of them!. I make way more money on the internet than in either of the fields I was trained for!.

I didn't learn a whole lot at college that I hadn't already taught myself from books, just got the fancy degrees to go on my resume!.

If there is something you are passionate about and you know you really want to pursue a career in that area and it requires a college degree, then go for it!. But if you don't know yet what you want to do for the next 30-40 years, put off college until you do!.

If you go to college, you can save a lot of money by going to a nearby community or junior college for the first two years, then transferring to a bigger university!. That way you get more impressive credentials for half the cost!.

If you want to go to college, go to the library and research obscure scholarships, there are hundreds or thousands of them that hardly anyone ever applies for!. If you get three or four you can pay for most if not all of your tuition at least, and some of them also give you money to live on while you go!. Ask the reference librarian to help you find the reference books you need!. If you live in a rural area with a small library, they can borrow books from a larger library for you at no charge to you!.

A trade school might also be an option!. Usually you can complete those in a couple years and get out earning faster, and they cost a fraction of what a full 4 year degree costs!. Many trades pay just as much as jobs that require a college degree!. For example if you just want to be a secretary or beutician or mechanic, you don't need a 4 or 6 or 8 year degree!. My sister is a beautician and she charges $60 for a haircut and $125 for a perm or hair dye job, and she books about 10 appointments a day!. Nursing is a field that pays a buttload of money, and you only need 2 years to be an LPN!.

Joining the military is another way to get help paying for school or train for a trade you can do after you get out, but keep in mind we are at war, so you might not live long enough to make it back to college, depending on where they send you!. And military recruiters often make you all kinds of promises they have no intention or authority to keep!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Knowledge has value!. You understand the world better, you can get better jobs and salary, people's life expectancy who have college degree is higher than those who does not!.
So, paying for college is not a waste of money!. There are ways to pay very little for college, take advantage of that!. You can start at community college, as low as $70/credit, you can get loan, you can get scholar ship, you can go to work at a university where they have tuition remission program to their employees, so basically your college is free (like Boston University, employees may take 2, 4 credit courses each semester, there are 3 semester/year, you pay only 10 percent for the 2nd the first one is free)!.
In my opinion college is not a waste of money or time!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No; studies show that people that hold a degree will make over $1,000,000 more than a person without a degree in a life time!.

I do think college and university tuition is a lot higher than it needs to be, but I think in the long run you'll get a higher paying job and more opportunities with a degree than without!. also, I think you can take a lot of courses that you can benefit from in your life (thinking financial courses) or courses you can just have a lot of fun in and learn from (I'm taking Mythology and Japanese, and I'm really enjoying it)!.

Besides, I think having a degree looks better!. Who would you prefer to hire!? I person that only holds a high school education (if even that) or someone who holds a degree and you know they are hard workers, and have good study habits!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, for two reasons: first, statistically, you're more likely to make a buttload more money if you go t ocollege than people who don't!.
Second, if you pick well, you'll learn A LOT in college that you wouldn't otherwise learn!.
At the same time, college is NOT for everyone, and for some, I imagine it is a waste of money!. But I would imagine that the vast majority of people who go are glad they went!. Keep in mind, though, that it's a somewhat self-selecting process: people who WANT to go to college usually go, and people who DON'T want to go usually don't!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

at the time no!.
but after my children came i'll admit put my job on hold!.
use my degrees credential when filling out the homeschooling paper work for my children!. don't earn money for homeschooling, but the money spent for college has been put to good use!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No - it is using money for your own good and in the long run it will pay much more!. it is investing in yourself and believe me which better thing is there to invest in if not yourself and your capabilities!?!?Www@Enter-QA@Com

Hmm yeah it could be if you pay $1000+ for a course and never get a job in that field after all that!.!. But no, I don't think it is because I never paid a cent, my workplace paid for the diploma I am doing now :DWww@Enter-QA@Com

No way!. It's helped me all my adult life earn far more than I ever would have without it!. Funny thing is I've never worked in my degree field, but my degree has opened a lot of doors for me to become successful!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

NO It's damn expensive - too much!. But it really gives you a leg up!. I've encountered so many employers that really only care that you have a degree in anything!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

A liberal arts degree from a fancy private 4 year school is a waste of money in my opinion!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

no!. the more you spend the more you will earn afterwards!. lol it really works!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

If you actually follow through with what you wanna be then no!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
