i live in new zealand and you get your learners at 15 which you just have to do a test on paper for and i got 100% on it!. after 6 months you can try for your restricted which is a driving test and i failed it the first time round because i kept the clutch in around the corners!.
man i was pissed off!. i am now 16 and have had my restricted for 3 months and i am not the best driver!. i either nearly crash or get honked at every time i drive and i get lost in my own small town!.

I passed mine first time despite stalling on a hill because I showed proper control over the vehicle!. My hubby took three times with his!. My uncle was the most unlucky tho, he got to the test centre, took the examiner out to his car and it had a flat! So he got failed because the car was unroadworthy!Www@Enter-QA@Com
yes i passed mine first time with 1minor fault! I have known of someone making three attempts but five is a all time high! does she get feedback on why she failed the other four times!? that always helps then you can be aware of the areas of weakness!. It may also be the instructor who is not teaching her correctly!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I've been driving 8 years!. Passed second time!. Full NCB (No Claims Bonus) discount to date!.
My wife passed first time, 6yrs ago!. Had 4 accidents (2 of which were her fault) - zero NCB!.
