Okay, here is the thing!. God and Satan appear to you standing side by side!.
God says "If you choose to believe in me then I will cast a plague upon humanity!. Every person will live in agonising pain that grows greater every day they live!. However, when they die, they will go to Heaven where for eternity they will experience life at its most beautiful!.
Satan says: If you believe in me, humankind will live a life free of hunger, disease and violence!. Everyone will live a fulfilling life of bliss, however, when they die, they will go to hell where for eternity they will be subjected to unspeakable pain!.

I would choose God!.
For one, because I'm Catholic and I believe in him!.
Two I would never pick Satan over God!.

satan only has as much power as god allows him and that's nothing compared to the power of god himself, so it's no contest for me :)
satan has tried to tempt us all at one time or another - including his temptation of jesus in the desert - he didn't win then and he won't win in your scenario :)
