First of all -- the MEDIA is the source of all panic, bias, and just plain is wrong about a LOT of things (and is only good for free publicity for the nastiness of "celebrities") !.!.!.!. (which is why I do NOT take seriously anything in the media at this time !.!.!.
However, it is difficult -- there are layoffs happening in various businesses -- of all sizes !.!. and that is for certain!.
IF one has a valuable skill !.!. then that is secure!. IF the work is seasonal -- then that also has to be planned for as part of the business plan!.
At this time !.!. with the fact that as a very young woman I SACRIFICED up front and planned for MY FUTURE (because I KNEW down in my soul that there would be no one there for me !.!. after all, my parents passed away when I was a very young adult) !.!. and that planning has definitely allowed me to have a RETIREMENT now at this time!.
I've also always budgeted carefully (and that includes due to the tremendous setback from having to pay a lot in a divorce settlement (short disaster of a marriage to an abusive, violent sociopath who was also a gold-digging greeding jerk)!. This budgeting meant I SACRIFICED all (put aside every desire/want I had) to provide for MY Children !.!. who are now adults and learning FIRST HAND what the struggle is in the REAL WORLD too!.
So !.!. I'm only worried about what it will mean to me in the next few years as I start publicizing my personal business !.!. but because the skills I am learning now (different from my previous careers) are going to still be in demand !.!. and I've been taking the College courses as well too (and doing very WELL in them)!.

It happened to me last week!. And nobody is hiring at the moment!.!.!. You know, I reckon the media are actually making it worse than it is, companies are too scared to hire anyone at the moment which means unemployment rates are going up, which will lead to a real recession!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Not in my job!. I work for the NHS, so its unlikely!. I'm being deployed soon though, because the ward i currently work in is moving to another hospital, so i've got 4 choices of where i want to work!.!. Redundancy isn't a possibility apparently, so i'm lucky!. My heart goes out to those that have or are losing jobs!. Its an evil recession!.!. I'm very concerned about this!. My Son's company that he works for are cutting back to 4 day work weeks for a while!. He said the next thing will be layoffs!. My Son-in-laws company is closing stores left and right!. The people that employ me are well off, but i can see them cutting my hours soon!. God help us! It always seems to be the the ones that have to suffer are the low income people!. Somethings not right! My children and myself work hard and do not depend on the government to give us a hand out, that may change soon unfortunately!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
