The British did make good cars, in Coventry and Birmingham there was once a thriving car industry!. The problem was all the workers got greedy and wanted more and more and went out on strike to get it!. In the end they killed off the car industry and now we have to buy only foreign cars!.
My next door neighbour used to work or a car factory and he spent more time at home, on strike then he ever did at work!. Once I asked him what the strike was about this time and he had no idea, he just voted to go out on strike because it was summer and hot!
