Just wondering how much people actually know the people who live next to them

I have lovely neighbours - Rosemary, Kathleen, Mr Wong, and further down the driveway, Jill and George!. (I live in a block of flats)!. But I hardly ever see them because they go to work weekdays and I go out weekends!. But we pass each other going out the front porch, down to the shops for milk, etc!.,!.
The thing is, everyone in the block says "Hi, Margaret" - or "Hello" - Mr Wong just smiles - depending on age - they all know me!. Problem is, quite often, for the life of me, I can't remember their names!.

We know each other to say hello to, and take in parcels for each other on the odd occasion if necessary but because our houses are standalone houses, their house is about 3-4 minutes away from ours so we dont know each other a great deal!. Its only if we're passing in their direction, and they happen to be out, we'll see each other!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
Not really!. I've only met one of my neighbours once!. They're nice!. The others I don't like, haven't met them, but I don't like them, they're noisy and I'm going to do my damnedest to make sure they're booted out!Www@Enter-QA@Com
yeah I do, and most of the people up our end of the Avenue!. we're quite close really which is good!. if it wasn't for one of my neighbours support I wouldn't have got through my husband leaving me!. thanks to her I'm enjoying my life in the knowledge that I have good friends and supportWww@Enter-QA@Com
I know them quite well!. Infact, everytime they go back home to visit family i'm given the keys to look after their cat!.But,they always bring back a nice gift!.!.!.and they have a really cute cat who's always in my garden anyway!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
I'm in one of 6 flats in a block and most of the neighbours are great, one not so great, but I get on with all of them!. I'm very lucky!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Well!.!. my mum knows one of them!. We give presents to them on Christmas Eve and New year!.!. but they never give us anything presents in return!. So, we just ignore them now!!
