My uncle said it best, I can move faster mad than you can scared!.I believe it is because when you are scared stiff, your muscles tighten up!. But when you are angry it is more of an adrenalin rush, and amazing things happen under their influence!. But in the movies most everyone cheers for the good guy, and you have to keep up the suspense!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

yes, it's because the movie is plot driven, but in real life, most serial killers have a "killing field" or "comfort zone" that they stay in to select and kill thier victims!. if ur killer allowed u to escape, and wasn't running after u, it's probably because he knows the area like the back of his hand, and knows there won't be any traffic around for u to run into!. he could simply know where to cut u off!. he may also like the thought of you believing u are going to get away!.
