Answers:
lp stands for Long Play which can hold and playback up to 45 mins of sound, and the “45”(for 45 rpms)or ep which was around 10-15 minutes

Im 23!.!.

doin it for the 80's babys Www@Enter-QA@Com

LP = Long Playing Record
45 = 45 RPM

LP's were usually for Albums, 12" diameter and pressed from Vinyl, and played at 33 1/3 RPM
There were also 12" singles which played at 45rpm
45's were usually singles, 7" diameter!.
Even older records were made of hard Bakelite type material and broke easy, they played at 78 RPM

Unlike CD's, these had an "A" side and a "B" side!.!. with a single, you would get 2 songs!.!. EP (extended play) sometimes 4 tracks, but while these were still 7", played at 33 1/3 RPM!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
