It depends really!.
For playing songs as pieces(like what people do on youtube where they interpret a song by its vocal melody and if possible the background music) then the piano because you have a much bigger range of notes!. With the piano its easier to understand how songs are formed and you learn more when it comes to playing music by ear and making your own!.
But for just having fun with chords and strumming or having an instrument you can play anywhere and sing along with then the guitar(well one that can be loud without connecting it to an outlet anyway)!. I mean you cant take the piano just anywhere like the woods so the piano is more portable!. And also its more sexy anyway!. Id be a lot more attracted to someone who can play the guitar than the piano(i dont know why but its just makes someone more attractive)Www@Enter-QA@Com
