Yes, I do have some emotional baggage -- but !.!. given that I SURVIVED a short disaster of a marriage (to an abusive, violent sociopath) !.!. and there has been plenty of torment by this Ex even AFTER the divorce (he does NOT respect Restraining/Protective Orders) !.!.!. (this was someone who ABUSED me in every way possible -- and did abuse the children physically too)
AND !.!.!. of the very few (namely -- only 2 other males) who have actually asked me on a date over the past 2+ decades !.!. they also were problematical (emotional/mental abuse !.!.!. I just do NOT understand why this is the way it is !.!. )
It is NOT as if I am 'out there' -- I am a Hard Working PROFESSIONAL Woman -- a Military Retiree (yes, this is one reason I do NOT get asked out on dates for sure -- as soon as they see my license plates (on my car) - - and find out it is ME That is the Military one -- they usually do not call me back or ask me out), -- someone who is VERY Responsible (being the SINGLE PARENT of TWO disabled children meant no dates -- now they are adults and living on their own -- and still no dates) -- Intelligent/Cultured (I Love learning (I have UGrad/Grad Degrees -- that is another stumbling block for sure -- and I am now back in College for fun) -- I VOLUNTEER and Give Back to my community too
(I do NOT go to bars !.!.!. I am uncomfortable at 'parties' -- and I am one who does NOT like big 'groups') !.!.!.
ALTHOUGH I do NOT bring up the past -- it overshadows my ability to deal with any form of abuse -- whether it is mental, emotional, verbal or any other way
(believe me -- the last one THOUGHT he was being "witty" -- but in reality -- it was mental/emotional/verbal abuse)!. He just did NOT get it at all -- and continued to make his 'remarks' knowing that I was NOT finding it 'funny' !.!.!. (and I was getting seriously upset)!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

i used to, but once i finally figured out how to let go of the past and all the things that made me miserable, life has gotten sooo much better! it took a long time, dont get me wrong, but i am so glad i finally got over it, because i am now happily married and i really dont think my marriage would work if i was still harboring all the anger i used to have for my ex!. now, i sort of thank him, because everything i went through made me stronger and smarter!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
