First use a cheese grater, then smooth out the surface with sand paper, use plenty of lotion and next time wear knee pads!.!. also on your butt!? have him lift you up to prevent future callouses :)

Use those Gellin' Foot inserts!.
Just wrap them around your knees, use a ribbon to tie them in place (preferrably a colorful, pretty one, to still show a hint of style)!.
It doesn't heal the wounds, but helps prevent later!
