Answers:
Because they couldn`t militarily defeat the Basque region due to the mountainous area and also because they had to contend with 2 or 3 other regions within Spain that were at constant conflict with the southern Spanish Moors, there was also a disinterest in a military conquest to quell the north,Christian Spain at the time was very powerful, but took many years to overwhelm the MoorsWww@Enter-QA@Com

Because Charles the Hammer successfully defeated them at Tours, driving them back south out of France and past the Pyrenees!.

Because of the mountainous terrain, the various Chrisitian princely states were able to successfully hold off the Moors until later, when they consolidated into the Kingdoms of Catilla-Leon and Navarre!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Cause the christians killed most muslims and jews on the hiberian peninsula from the 1400s onwards, and the moors were muslims!. Www@Enter-QA@Com
