I tend to agree with Maui Guy!. I will not vote for Obama not because I am anti Muslim!. There have been Muslims whom I have admired a great deal!. I will not vote for Obama because I do not agree with his ideas to solve our problems!. There have been many people of other faiths whom I have admired also!. But it is the fact that I have been in positions during my lifetime and that I have formed a strong belief in my country and for that which it has always stood!. There is no other country in the world that has more freedoms than we do! I agree that it is congress and not George Bush who is responsible for our predicament! The reason for it is GREED nothing less and the lust for power!
It is unfortunate that the people who attact our country have hidden behind the Muslim faith!. Narrowminded!. I have muslim friends that hate what happened on 9/11!.!.and are quiet!. loving people!.!.!.!.
Personally, I was not raised to live by the muslim faith!.!.!.and I prefer it that way!.!.!.because Christian is the way I was raised!.!.!.but everyone should have the right to believe in whatever faith they wish!.!.!.!.just don't go around killing people!.!.!.!.and don't go around trying to convert people either!.
I feel that the ones (of any faith) that kill, are those who have lost their direction and feel there is no way out!. They have lost all hope!. That's the fault of their leaders!.!.!.and many are religeous leaders!.
Unfortunately, I don't think Obama is ready for what he has in store for him as president!. It's just not the right time!.!.!.for the country!.!.!.!.and for him!. Sadly, he may not make it through his full term because of narrow-minded people!. But at the same time, I think McCain has a hard row to hoe if he gets elected!.!.!.!.and may not be pointed in the right direction!. He however, may be the "lesser of two evils"!.
But always remember, it's not so much the president running things!.!.!.it's congress!. The system is very broken!.!.!.and it will take a miracle to fix it!.!.!.!.!.and it's not so much because of Bush!.!.!.!.!.but just a product of years of governmental misuse of power!. We need to take back our country as citizens from all these pork-bellied politicians on the take!.
