My first job many, many years ago was as a fry cook!. But I am not a fry cook now!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Its usually a surprise when I find out that someone I know has served time in prison in the past!. I'm not going to lie - it does alter my perception of them a bit!. Mistakes have a habit of repeating themselves (look at the recidivism rates), but there are those that are truly rehabilitated after serving their sentence!. So, if that person has already done enough to outweigh that perception than it doesn't alter my opinion of them, but the onus is on them to prove that they've changed!.

Its kind of sad, but I have a hard time trusting people in general anyway!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not necessarily!. Depends on what the crime was and how that person now lives after being released from incarceration!.
A relative of mine went to prison for selling drugs when he was in his early 20's!.!.!.for which I chalk it up to immaturity and really bad choices and influences!. Not that he himself was an evil person!.
He has lived an exemplary life after prison and has nothing whatsoever to do with drugs anymore!.

No!. Some of my friends have served time as well, as well as some people that have worked for my father (he is the owner of a construction company) and many have been good men that made a mistake!. If I learned one thing from my father it is that people make mistakes and you judge people from their character now not from actions taken in the past!. I have never served time but I have made some terrible mistakes in my life!. I would hate to have my past actions held over my head for the rest of my life!.

More power to you for making a change!. ^_^

For those that are religious (I am not but i know many are) remember your bible!.!.!."those that have no sin you cast the first stone" as well as "Judge not lest you be judged yourself"!.!.!.!.!.!.!.too many religious people forget their own scripture!. !.!.!.!.!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I guess it depends on what you went to prison for and if you have learned from your mistake & paid your debt to society, then no you are not automatically "assumed to be a bad person"!. If it's something you did when you were "young & stupid"!. Move on & put it down to experience!. Good luck!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

I automatically assume they did something bad!. But I don't assume they are a bad person!. However, I'm very cautious around felons!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

No, not at all!. We cannot judge the people from the 1st time, we have to get to know what's in them!. It's not fair to assume that!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

I never assume, and good and bad are only a matter of perception anyway!

i think everyone has the stigmas, but im sure most of them arn't really bad, sometimes circumstance leads to crime, nothing more than human nature!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

Not always; I think there is always something lurking in the back of my mind, telling me to give them the benefit of the doubt!.Www@Enter-QA@Com

not really cause I don't have the right to judge a person we shouldn't be judge mental, besides we don't know maybe that person just got framed or something like thatWww@Enter-QA@Com
