Sure they may both taste the same, But how would i know when the grey apple went bad !? i could think it was fresh and take a bite of it!. and find out its like 2 months old!.

Purple - more appealing than the grey!. I can't think of another food that is grey or that I would consider eating!. Although I'm not fond of beets either!
