I went without electricity for about 5 days last winter during the midwest ice storm!. It was actually a bit of an adventure at first, kind-of like camping!. We stayed home, made due and used the camp stove for all of our meals!. Eventually after about the third night we packed and went to stay with my mom for a few days!. The inside of our house was near 39 degrees, so the cold made it quite miserable!. Honestly I think if it were not for the cold we could of handled for much longer!. It does make you take perspective on how well you have it

I would love to live like the Amish, how many kids do they have!? Must be pretty dang fun life at times, after the sun goes down!.
