My first name is common, but is sometimes mispronounced in a Castillan kind of way!. (II=y) That doesn't bother me!.
My last name is short and the pronunciation is quite Phonetic!. When I was a senior in high school my Physics teacher asked us to corrct him if he mispronounced our names!. He did and when I corrected him he basically told me that I didn't know how to pronounce my own name!. A short argument ensued!. He insisted on calling me his way, but I would not answer him when he did!. My stubborness was beginning to cost me in the marks department as I was losing participation points!. My saving grace was that late in the first quarterly marking period he was ousted from the school!. It seems that the administration had problems with the man's morality!. They were never specific, but I never saw Him behave in an untoward way toward any of his students!. Www@Enter-QA@Com

My first name is Scotlyn(not hard to pronounce at all) but, every once in a while I will hear someone pronounce my first name as Scotland and everybody pronounces my last name wrong!.Www@Enter-QA@Com
